Maria Ramos is a British broadcast journalist who reports and presents UK and world news stories on TV.

She has reported for the BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC and Le Monde among other news organisations.

Based in London, Maria has also worked in Syria, Bahrain, Dubai, Turkey, Senegal, Mauritius, Madagascar and Honduras.

Fluency in French, Spanish, Italian and intermediate Arabic – allow her to access stories from different regions.

‘I like finding untold global news stories, dispelling misconceptions, and investigating humanitarian issues,’ she says.

Maria produced an exclusive BBC report on Syrian refugees in the UK and has presented UNICEF’s global debates.

In addition, Maria provides consultancy services in media relations and sustainable development partnerships to the CEO of Formula E.

A keen runner and passionate about the power of sport to highlight global issues, Maria ran in the Sahara Marathon to support Western Sahara refugees.
